Since its first use in 1950s, flow cytometry has become one of the mostly powerful analysis techniques in biomedical research and clinical use to rapidly and simultaneously scrutinize multiple parameters at the single-cell level determined. Besides the use of best possible antibodies, an appropriate fixation and permeabilization protocol play critical roles in achieving successful detections from surface CD markers to intercellular modified targets such as phosphorylated proteins. This presentation, as a guideline, will share with you those important tips that CST flow-cytometry experts routinely use in their daily bench work.

嘉宾简介

Dr. Yu Gang TuAsia Pacific Application and Australian Key Account Manager(CST)

Dr. Yu Gang Tu is an Asia Pacific Application and Australian Key Account Manager for Cell Signaling Technology, based in Melbourne Australia. Enrolled through Monash University Australia, he received his PhD degree by investigating the roles of CDA1 (cell division of autoantigen1) in cell-cycle/growth and diabetic renal fibrosis development, from cells to mouse models. During his post-doctoral projects, Dr. Tu also discovered and focused on how HDL affects the levels of some small/microRNAs that may play important role in inflammatory-associated diseases, together with developing new test-platforms for assessing HDL capacity of anti-inflammation to predict its underlying risk for atherosclerosis. Dr. Tu has many industrial experiences by working through Genelabs Diagnostics as R&D scientist for diagnostic kit development, and Bayer Healthcare as Asia-Pacific Application Manager in charge of automated diagnostic immunoassays.
